As an extension of nextofkin’s industrial design work, aboveground is a collection of furniture pieces and objects used in any spatial arena. The ideas started off as doodles collected from constant observations of human behaviours and fond memories of the teams’ favourite artifacts. These ideas gained momentum when nextofkin were invited to participate in Tortona Design Week 2013 in Milan Italy. The designs were developed into production pieces in limited quantities for the event.
